Matriellez Education

	Educating for Nature - On Love, Home and Learning:A Personal Journey through Schooling Matriellez was a maths teacher, and on retiring early in 2006 he developed this site having many plans. He soon found that despite 30 years of varied teaching the fashions of teaching had moved on, and he focused on the book primarily as .... vision. There were four main areas:- corporate paradigm, natural development, quality portfolio and autonomous mastery of a wifi classroom. After much early productive work the book stalled until the vision became clear with zandtao's spiritual work.
	Teacher of nature, Mubaan schools and Ecosophy schools. Before writing the book matriellez went to town on radical education ideas. With the increasing corporate paradigm these are less and less applicable.
	Towards the end of his career matriellez was focussed on exam-passing and assessment leading to exam-passing. Given the corporate paradigm's emphasis on exam success it was surprising how little work was generally done on study skills. Towards the end he started to, and perhaps would have gone further. But fair assessment took him to quality portfolios.
My M Ed	In Africa he took a distance-learning M Ed, career-wise he doesn't know whether it benefitted him - he never found jobs any easier. However the M Ed was enjoyable, it was reflective and took him on an internal education journey; going inner kickstarted his path again. Worth it for that alone.
